Portraits

I combine my love of nature, fine art and craft to create portraits of wildlife, people and their pets. 

 

Working on primed wood board or locally sourced seasoned timber offcuts, I paint portraits with handmade oils or apply a unique combination of relief carving, pyrography, wax, natural pigments and materials such as shell and sometimes semi-precious stones.

Inspiration comes from the local countryside and Rutland Water nature reserve, but I also take commissions for both wood plaques and oil paintings.
