Lightly relief carved onto a lovely thin piece of spalted beech is a characterful otter resting on the shore -he has just spotted you but is too comfortable to move! The wood is thin and smoothly planed with nice grain showing.  He has whiskers made from barley  and clear resin water droplets ... plus a bit of dried seaweed...
